Award for Meritorious Service"

Bruce
D. Reinoso, Esq.
Magavern, Magavern & Grimm, L.L.P.
As
a partner of Magavern, Magavern & Grimm, L.L.P., Bruce has devoted
his career to elder law, estates and trusts and health law. He is
a genuine and effective advocate for the elderly and has directly
helped so many seniors protect their interests when disputes arise
and find solutions to improve the quality of their life in later
years.
He
has made considerable contributions on the more global level, working
with senior service providers to enhance their skills, and work
one common issues and policy items to advance a more positive perception
and actual quality of life for older Western New Yorkers. His volunteer
service to the Network in Aging in the ranks and in leadership has
been repeated in the community as well, such as Coordinated Care,
Legal Services for the Elderly and People Inc.'s Senior Advisory
Committee. Bruce was there leading the way in a new effort to establish
a collaborative pooled income trust between People Inc. and Legal
Services for the Elderly, and to educate other professionals about
the new resource available to help seniors.
Bruce
spoke at Leadership Buffalo's 2004 Human and Senior Services Day
- the first time that elderly services were distinctly recognized
as a separate educational component of Leadership Buffalo. Bruce
is a regular presenter of educational programs to state and local
professionals - because he is recognized for being able to match
his considerable expertise, with a very pragmatic and personal approach.
He is a doer, and his community has benefited from his talent, passion,
commitment and energy.
He
counsels and advises elder law clients regarding estate and long
term care planning and has directly helped many seniors protect
their interests and find solutions to improve the quality of their
lives in later years. Bruce is a long time member of the Network
in Aging and has served as both President and Past President.
Bruce
also serves as Vice President of the Board for Legal Services for
the Elderly, Disabled and Disadvantaged of Western New York, Inc.
He is Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Erie County Bar Association.
He is Dean of the Erie Institute of Law. He regularly presents educational
programs to state and local professionals, and their clients, regarding
health and elder law.
