Who Should Attend?
Case managers, caregivers, physicians, health care professionals,
discharge planners, senior
housing and senior center staff, social workers, nursing home personnel,
elder law attorneys, students, and anyone with an interest in aging
and long-term care.

" To expand your knowledge about various dementias, how they
are identified and treated
" To understand the neuropsychological aspects of capacity
determination and Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law
" To learn what measures and standards are employed to determine
the extent to which a person lacks capacity for decision-making

" To understand when legal assistance is warranted

one lacks capacity for decision-making (representative payee, powers

who exhibit behaviors such as at-risk driving, self- neglect, hoarding,
financial mismanagement, etc.
