Michael
Maloney….”25 years - oh my! How can it be? The Network and 25
years ... the times - how they have changed - and for the most
part for the better! Aging services today have so many more options
as compared to 25 years ago. Services today have less of the institutional
model and more of a wellness and supportive services focus. We
have a long way to go to get ready for aging services but give
it another 25 years and maybe we will have it right! The area
that remains problematic is services to the middle income and
rural aging populations.
The
Network has evolved by time and circumstance - it remains true
to its mission of bringing people together to share ideas and
improve the quality of life for Western New Yorkers. Perhaps not
as grand as many thought 25 years ago, but dedicated to the simple
concept of together we can do better! Best Wishes for the next
25 years!”
