The Lutheran Church Home of Buffalo has received the 2005 Good Neighbor Citation. Since its founding in 1896, the Lutheran Church Home has evolved as needs for quality care have changed, most recently including a licensed home care program and collaboration with the Niagara Lutheran Health System to develop and operate the GreenField Court assisted living apartment complex in Lancaster. The mission of the Lutheran Church Home extends well beyond its dedication to providing quality care to residents. It includes reaching out to the people in the Hamlin Park community in which it resides, as well as providing employment for local residents.
