Network In Aging President
As the new Network in Aging president I have to say, what an amazing start to an exciting adventure! I look forward to the challenge and want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. Even though I’m new to the position, I’ve come to have an even greater appreciation for the job Bob Wills and the other Past Presidents have done before me. As I told Bob when he ceremoniously handed me the gavel, I may have to lower the microphone but I will not lower the standards they’ve previously set and I look forward to upholding their level of commitment.
The Post Holiday Social on January 8th at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens was an enjoyable evening of networking, and as always, the food was delicious. I would like to thank all of the Network board members and Special Events committee members that brought the delectable desserts. I also want to thank everyone that brought a donation for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Buffalo.
There are a few ways for every member to make the most of their membership and they are; being active on a committee, hosting a Network with the Network Event and attending the Network with the Network Events. With that said, I want to thank Health System Services, Homewatch Caregivers and Univera Healthcare for co-sponsoring our March Network with the Network event. “Swing into Spring” was held at the Williamsville Executive Center where you could sample some wine while listening to a live swing band playing.
I hope you will join us for our next Network with the Network Event on April 25th from 4:30-7 p.m. for “Magic is in the Air” at Eagle Crest Senior Village in West Seneca co-sponsored by Eagle Crest Senior Village, Elder Care Solutions and Sitters on Standby. Come enjoy a magical night of networking.
Save the date for our upcoming Network with the Network Events on May 9 from 4:30-7 p.m. for “Chips and Chips” co-sponsored by MJ Peterson Real Estate, Surdej Laping Associates and Emeritus. Come and see some casino dealers in action and learn how to play black jack, roulette and craps. Let the chips fall where they may and come enjoy a night out networking and relaxing.
